Hi! I'm Siva.
I am 31 and I currently live in Chennai.
I studied a myriad of things before I decided I liked none of it enough to pursue further, and decided to shoot weddings for a living. I could travel to places I had not been to before and I could witness and document people being their most vulnerable selves. It gave me a chance to combine several things I loved doing: traveling, meeting new people, getting to tell their stories in words and pictures, and I've been doing this for a little over 10 years now.
I love to write, but I have terrible discipline when it comes to writing consistently. I would like to believe I am working on it now. And this website is an attempt to get myself to do things more regularly.
I also enjoy reading books, watching things, going on budget backpacking trips, cooking sometimes, sitting quietly by water bodies, and eating new food. I tend to use long sentences that make me feel like I am on flowing water. I hate precis writing. I am currently reading 'The will to change: Men, Masculinity, and Love' by bell hooks, and I'm currently watching New Girl.
